Presence engine
One source of truth for who is tagged on.
Every view in Tagview, from the dashboard to the wallboard to the alert evaluators, asks the same engine the same question. It interprets the raw reads so nobody else has to.
- A three-minute grace window absorbs a tag that is briefly blocked from the reader, such as someone standing in front of the board, so it is not recorded as a tag-off. A real tag-off always takes effect immediately.
- Tagging on at a second board moves the person; they are never counted at two boards at once.
- Board-confirmed absences from the reader itself are trusted over inferred ones.
- A 48-hour lookback rebuilds presence correctly after an outage.

TV wallboard
A roll call on the wall. No login.
Mount a TV in the crib room or the control room, open one link, and leave it. The wallboard is authenticated by a per-site display token, because a TV on a wall never signs in.
- Headcount at a glance, then every person with their position, company, board and time on site.
- Flags shown inline: long shift, still tagged on after shift end.
- Board online and offline counts so an empty list is never mistaken for an empty site.
- Refreshes every 15 seconds. Dark theme designed for a screen that stays on all day.
Companies and contractors
Contractors are companies, not a free-text field.
A mine operator hosts many employers. Tagview models each contractor and subcontractor as a company under your account, with its own people and its own site access.
- Per-site access for each company, so a contractor sees only the sites they work on.
- Personnel belong to a company and can be assigned to many sites.
- Headcounts, history and reports roll up by company.
- Company nicknames for the names people actually use on site.
Skills matrix
Who holds what, and what’s about to lapse.
Tickets, licences and inductions recorded against each person with issue and expiry dates, so “who is underground without a current ticket” always means the same thing.
- Each record is valid, expiring, expired or missing.
- Expiry warnings default to 30 days and can be set per skill or per operator.
- Certificate and licence references stored with the record.
- The matrix view shows every person against every required skill.
Flags and alerts
Know when something is wrong before someone asks.
Flags are evaluated every minute in each site’s own timezone. Alerts go out by email, and by SMS where configured, with a severity you set.
- Long shift: tagged on longer than the site threshold (12 hours by default).
- Still tagged on: past shift end plus a grace period (30 minutes by default). Usually someone forgot to tag off.
- Tagboard offline, tagboard error rate, low tag battery and system errors.

History and reports
Every tag-on and tag-off, kept for a year by default.
The history view answers the questions that come after an incident. The report builder answers the ones that come every Monday.
- Filter history by site, board, company, person and date range.
- Summary metrics: people on site, check-ins and check-outs, board uptime, average hours per person.
- Export to CSV. Weekly and monthly summaries delivered by email.
- Data retention is set per operator; 365 days is the default.
Tags and boards
Print the tags. Watch the boards.
Personnel tags are standard card size and print from a template you control. Every board reports its health with every sync.
- Tag templates with photo, name, company and employee ID at 54 × 85.5 mm.
- Assign, reassign and retire tags with an audit trail of who did it and why.
- Board health: online status, last seen, firmware version, Wi-Fi signal, faults and outages.
- Staged, signed firmware updates from the admin console.
Roles and access
The right people see the right sites.
Access is scoped by role and by site, so a site manager sees their site and a billing manager sees invoices, not personnel.
