The tagboard.
A wall-mounted UHF RFID reader that keeps working when the network doesn’t, and reports in once a minute when it does.

What it is
One board per entry point.
People tag on at the board on the way in and tag off on the way out. The board reads UHF tags, confirms the read, and holds the person as present until they tag off or tag on at another board.

- Green status strip shows the board is online and synced

Enrolment
Installed in minutes, not days.
No laptop at the board. The install is done from a phone and the admin console.
- Step 1
Scan the label
The QR on the reader carries its identity only. No Wi-Fi details, no credentials.
- Step 2
Join the setup network
The board broadcasts its own setup Wi-Fi. Connect, choose your site network, and enter the one-time PIN from the admin console.
- Step 3
Name it and mount it
Give it a name like “Main decline” and pick its site. From the first sync it appears on the dashboard and the wallboard.
Resilience
Designed for the day the network is down.
The board keeps its own journal of every read. The cloud only ever removes what it has confirmed it received.
- Network loss
- Scanning and journaling continue. Records are deleted from the board only after the cloud acknowledges them.
- Power loss
- On restart the board restores its last confirmed set. Nobody is marked absent until two complete sync windows have been missed.
- Journal damage
- Every record carries a checksum. The board recovers the newest intact run and reports an explicit history gap rather than guessing.
- Journal full
- Current presence is always kept. Dropped history is counted and raised as a critical alert on reconnect.
